Compressed Air Systems
Oil-injected air compressor condensate is known to contain carryover oil at levels that are above local and federal regulations. The EPA has strict standards about the disposal of these oils that get mixed with water during the compression process due to concerns about waste water treatment and ground water contamination. The fines for non-compliance can be severe! While the federal regulations restrict contaminates from compressor condensate to less than 40 PPM, a typical compressor condensate system has 500–3000 PPM of contaminants. When properly sized and installed, the CHWS oil water separator can reduce the contaminants in your compressor condensate to less than 10 PPM, for the life of the unit.
